Automatic F0 / Formant Extraction and Plotting
If you set the 'automatic' value to 'on', then, if they are turned on, the f0 and/or formants will automatically be extracted and displayed in the spectrogram when the spectrogram is drawn. If this setting is off, then F0 and formants can still be plotted by pressing the 
button. Note that is F0 and formant extraction are set to 'off' then automatic plotting will not work.
F0 Extraction
Turn F0 extraction on by setting f0 plot' to 'on'. The F0 will then be plotted in SPExL if automatic plotting is turned on. Otherwise, it will be plotted by pressing the f0/formant analysis button .
Formant Extraction
Turn formant extraction on by setting 'formant plot' to 'on'. The formants will then be plotted if automatic plotting is turned on. Otherwise, it will be plotted by pressing the f0/formant analysis button .

This function is not available in the wave only view.
